Endless Soup Combos

I watched a YouTube video from Dollar Tree Dinners, in which Rebecca talked about how

you could change up soup. I have added to this over the last few years. So let’s jump

into it.

Step 1: pick a soup, stew or chowder. This can be homemade or store bought cans.

Step 2: pick what I call a jazz-up.

Step 3: eat! With this formula you can make thousands of different combinations

so please enjoy!

Soup, Stew or Chowder - I’m using a

list of Progresso Soups as an example

Jazz-Ups

Chicken Noodle

Saltines/Crackers/Oyster Crackers

Tomato

Baked Potatoes

Potato with Bacon

Mashed Potatoes

Vegetable

Hashbrowns

Sausage Gumbo

Bread/Croutons

Corn Chowder

Garlic Toast

Spicy Jambalaya

Biscuits

Beef Barley

Tortillas - Corn or Flour

Lentil

Rice - Plain or Flavored

(not progresso) Chili

Pasta/Noodles

(not progresso) Ramen

Potato Chips/Corn Chips/Tortilla Chips

(not progresso) Chicken a la King

Egg

(not progresso) Beef Stew

Stuffing Mix

(not progresso) Clam Chowder

Oatmeal/Cornmeal

Here are a few examples:

Sausage Gumbo with Ritz Crackers or Wheat Thins

  • Spicy Jambalaya served on a Baked Potato
  •  Chicken Noodle Soup poured over Mashed Potatoes
  •  Lentil Soup over Hashbrowns
  •  Tomato Soup with Croutons sprinkled on top or a buttered Bread Slice on the side
  •  Chicken a la King with Garlic Toast
  •  Dinty Moore with Biscuits on top or pour the Soup over the Biscuits
  •  Scoop out veggies from Vegetable Soup, put in a Tortilla. Use juice as dipping sauce
  • Ramen over Plain Rice or Spanish Rice or any Knorr Rice Side
  •  Potato with Bacon over Macaroni or Wide Egg Noodles or any knorr Pasta Side
  •  Chili over Corn Chips
  •  Corn Chowder with Egg cooked in or do Hard Boiled sliced and lay on top
  •  Clam Chowder served over Stuffing Mix
  •  Beef Barley Soup with a little Oatmeal stirred in to give it more of a chowder feel

Well I think you get the idea so try it out and see what combos you can come up with.

As we just finished up our soups, stews and chowders series I wanted to give you

one more thing to think about and look at and that making a single soup base that can

be transformed into seven different soups. If you're interested, check out Becoming a

Farm Girl over on YouTube. Here's the video I'm talking about.

Well I think that does it. Next we will be exploring sandwiches cuz after all nothing

goes together like soup and sandwiches, right?!
