Resources

If you are in need of food, shelter, utility assistance, health insurance or mental health assistance the best resource I have found is:

211.org

It can help you with a lot of things low income people struggle with, so please check it out and see what help you can receive!

If you need a food pantry or food bank, here are some places to look:

FeedingAmerica.org

FindingHelp.org

FullCart.org

You can also look to your community for things like soup kitchens and other faith based groups that offer help. You can also ask the Salvation Army for assistance.

Here is a list of some programs you can search for. Just do a search including your state. For example: liheap iowa

SNAP - supplemental nutrition assistance program
Medicaid - healthcare coverage
LIHEAP - low income home energy assistance program
WIC - special supplemental nutrition program for women, infants and children
TANF - temporary assistance for needy families
Public Housing
Free cell Phone

For Online Resources:
I generally look to YouTube for budget meals and information. These are my favorite YouTube channels. I do watch a lot of homesteader/survivalist YouTubers as well because they sometimes offer recipes for some handy pantry staples you can make.
